Professional Networking Designed to Promote Individual Business Enterprises
Connect meets every Wednesday from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Meetings begin with each member giving a short promotion of their business and a request for leads. Business is conducted while lunch is served and referrals are passed. Each meeting include two fifteen-minutes in-depth presentations of individual businesses. Periodically, the meeting encompasses other business activities.

Connect’s purpose is to promote and build our businesses through networking with other members, each engaged in a different business or profession. Responsibility is accepted by each member for recruiting and increasing our membership and for actively seeking business referrals for the members.

When “CONNECT” a Women’s Business Networking group that meets every Wednesday at the Red Lobster on 44th & Wadsworth discovered that the long-time hostess “Dolores” had successfully completed treatments for cancer, they wanted to do something for her to help with the medical bills that resulted from the treatments.
A fund raiser was held and members were encouraged to donate what they could to help Dolores. Also, one of the members, a financial representative at Modern Woodmen of America, contacted the home office and asked if they would match the amount of money raised. Modern Woodmen of America has a policy to “give back” to the communities they serve. The money raised by members and friends came to $2010.00. Modern Woodmen matched the total dollar for dollar.
On Wednesday, November 03, 2010 Connect presented a check for $4,020.00 to Dolores. She was so surprised and grateful because the gift was so unexpected.
