Today’s first speaker was Ruthie Williams of Stampin’ Up in Golden, Colorado. She wanted to take her time today to share many of her new creations for the Holiday Season. Ruthie had cards for sale and she passed them around for us to look at. Her cards and designs are beautiful and unique – there was quite a selection to look at everything from a Santa Claus face to wonderful snowflake scenes. Ruthie also had her everyday cards with her that show the creativity the Ruthie has in working with the paper and tools! She told us that the actual creation from thought to card takes between 2 to 4 hours – the creative planning takes the longest. I can see that there is a lot of thought and creative planning that goes into each card – each of these cards have the care and thought that makes each one a piece of art! Ruthie offers classes in technique, and a class called Stamp Camp – where you can try out you creative side and use Ruthie’s tools to see if you can use them to create the same artistry that Ruthie does! When you need to mail you custom cards created by Ruthie, she suggests a thin piece of cardboard on the front side of the card and that when mailing you face the front side towards the flap of the envelope. This will keep the decorations from being damage via the US Mail. The cards created by Ruthie are stunning to see and if you want to purchase any or take a class that would teach you to create a series of cards with the help of a great teacher give Ruthie Williams of Stampin’ Up a call!!!
