Our second speaker today was Laura Kilty of Shaklee – Laura spoke today about Being Happy. Four ways to work on body happiness for yourself is -Number 1 – Eat a good diet rich in color with whole grains, shop on the outer edge of the grocery store – remember that is where the freshest and healthiest foods are. Number 2- Regular exercise, a combination of cardio and weight training can really improve your mood! Number 3 – Take time everyday for yourself – find things that bring you joy and do it – even if it is only 10-15 mins a day. Number 4 – Always be good to yourself – watch your self talk. We all have a tendency to have a negative self talk with ourselves, watch this and instead of saying to yourself ” That was stupid!” say to yourself ”Well that didn’t go well but I learned from that and it will go better next time!” There are also nutrients that can help support your body and brain – and move you to a more tranquil state of mind.
